Jade and its properties

Physical properties of Jade:

Jade (Jadeite) has a fibrous, felt-like structure that makes it a very tough and resistant stone. It is found in black, brown, violet, reddish, yellow, and white, as well as the better know green.

Jade has a hardness of 6 1/2 - 7 on the Mohs' scale, and a specific gravity of 3.30 to 3.36
