Agate and its properties

Physical properties of agate:

Agate is banded chalcedony, a member of the quartz group. Agates can range from translucent to opaque, with colors ranging from reds and pinks to browns and grays. Agate is often dyed other colors.

Agate has a hardness of 6 1/2 to 7 on the Mohs' scale, and a specific gravity of 2.60 to 2.65.

Agates are grounding stones that can help you find a better balance between your physical and emotional htmlects. Agate's energies work to raise consciousness, allowing you to accept ourselves and gain self confidence.
